It does not come without its downsides however. While technology certainly makes our jobs easier, it can create barriers for students who are not experienced technology. For me, tech represents so much possibility for innovation, imagination, and connection. There's also the challenges of tech, which can make it isolating, confusing, and a barrier if you don't have access or instruction. I've found that in order to use and teach tech effectively, there needs to be space for experimentation, coaching, and sharing with other practitioners. With all of the technology that is available, I often feel that I am learning with my students, as we progress through our process technology related subjects together.
