From the book Muqasyafatul Qulub written by al Ghazali, it is said that the Messenger of Allah gathered with his companions in the holy month of Ramadan. Then the Prophet told a story about a Prophet named Sam'un Ghozi AS, he was a Prophet from the Children of Israel who was sent to the land of Rome.

It is told that Prophet Sam'un Ghozi AS fought against a nation that opposed the Godhead of Allah SWT. The heroism and power of Prophet Sam'un was used to oppose the ruler of the infidels at that time, namely the king of Israel.

Finally the king of Israel found a way to subjugate Prophet Sam'un. Various efforts were made by him, until finally, on the advice of his advisors, it was announced that whoever could capture Sam'un Ghozi, would receive an abundant gift of gold and jewels.

Brief story Prophet Sam'un Ghozi AS was deceived by his wife. Because of his affection and love for his wife, the prophet Sam'un said to his wife, "If you want to find me in a helpless state, then tie me with my haircut."

Finally Prophet Sam'um Ghozi AS was tied up by his wife while he was asleep, then he was brought before the king. He was tortured by being blinded in both eyes and tied and displayed in the king's palace.

Because of being treated so cruelly, Prophet Sam'un Ghozi AS prayed to Allah SWT. He prayed by beginning with repentance, then asking for help for the greatness of God.

1. ISLAM

   The 5 pillars of Islam, which are declaration of Shahadah, performing five daily prayers, zakat, fasting during Ramadhan and performing hajj.

2. IMAN

   Refers to the Six Articles of Faith in Islam, which are belief in Allah, angles, holy books, prophets, day of judgement, and divine decree.

3. IHSAN

   worshiping Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then know that He sees you.

4. DAY OF JUDGEMENT

   The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mentioned several signs that would precede the Day of Judgment.

3. When you're uncertain, seek answers and consult knowledgeable experts.

Allah instructed Noah to build a large ark in preparation for a great flood that would punish the disbelievers. Noah followed the command, building the ark and gathering pairs of animals and the believers who followed him.

The flood came, covering the earth and destroying all those who had not believed. The ark, carrying Noah, his family (except his wife), and the animals, floated safely on the waters.

• The Torah (Tawrat): Revealed to Moses, it contains laws and guidance for the Israelites.

• The Psalms (Zabur): Revealed to David, often seen as a collection of hymns and prayers.

• The Gospel (Injil): Revealed to Jesus, emphasizing spiritual guidance and the message of love and compassion.

• The Qur'an: The final revelation, revealed to Prophet Muhammad over 23 years. It is considered the literal word of God, providing comprehensive guidance on all aspects of life.

Prophet Muhammad: The final prophet, who received the Qur'an, considered the ultimate guide for all of humanity. He is often referred to as the "Seal of the Prophets."

• The word "Ihsan" literally means "to do good" or "to excel." In a spiritual context, it signifies striving to attain the highest standards of faith and behavior, both in one's relationship with Allah and with fellow human beings.

• Ihsan is often seen as the third dimension of the faith framework in Islam, following Islam (the outer practices) and Iman (inner faith). While Islam focuses on actions (like prayer and fasting) and Iman emphasizes belief, Ihsan elevates both by urging believers to act with the best intentions and moral integrity.

Definition of hikmah :

• Hikmah refers to deep insight, understanding. It involves using knowledge effectively for the benefit of oneself and others, guided by principles of fairness, justice, and compassion.

• Hikmah (Wisdom) is often referred to as the ability to understand and apply knowledge in a beneficial and purposeful manner.

• Ibadah (worship) is a means through which Allah imparts wisdom to His servants by guiding them toward proper actions and attitudes in life.

Worship strengthens the bond with Allah, leading to deeper understanding and divine wisdom. It is also purifies the soul, removing negative traits and cultivating wisdom through self-discipline. Lastly, Worship instills virtues such as patience, gratitude, and humility, which guide wise decision-making.

Khusyu', which refers to humility, concentration, and submission in prayer, is essential for making Salah a truly impactful experience. Achieving khushu' involves preparing both the body and the heart to stand before Allah with full awareness and reverence.

   Salah with khushu' brings inner peace and calmness, helping to relieve stress and anxiety. The state of humility and focus in Salah calms the heart and brings a sense of comfort and serenity.

2. Development of Patience and Self-Discipline:

   The focused and humble state of khushu' in prayer cultivates patience and self-discipline, qualities that benefit a person in everyday life. It strengthens the ability to persevere through life’s challenges and remain steadfast in faith.

   
   

Fasting, or Sawm, is one of the fundamental pillars of Islam, observed by Muslims during the holy month of Ramadan and as a voluntary act of worship at other times. While the physical act of abstaining from food, drink, and other comforts during fasting may seem challenging, its virtues are numerous and deeply transformative.

1. Spiritual Cleansing and Taqwa (God-Consciousness):

   Fasting purifies the soul and strengthens one’s taqwa (God-consciousness). The act of abstaining from food, drink, and desires teaches control over worldly temptations and draws one closer to Allah.

2. Empathy and Compassion:

   Fasting fosters empathy for those who are less fortunate and experience hunger daily. This empathy leads to increased charity, generosity, and a sense of social responsibility toward helping those in need.

In Islam, charity plays a fundamental role in the life of every Muslim, as it reflects the core values of empathy, generosity, and social justice.

1. Purification of Wealth

   Zakah purifies the wealth of a Muslim by removing the impurity of greed and selfishness.It is a means to cleanse the soul from the attachment to worldly possessions.

2. Support for the Needy

   Both Zakah and Sadaqah provide essential support to those in need, such as the poor, orphans, and those facing hardships.This helps reduce inequality in society and ensures a fairer distribution of wealth.

In Islam, Hajj and Umrah are two sacred pilgrimages that hold profound significance. Both are acts of worship that involve traveling to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina in Saudi Arabia, where Muslims engage in specific rituals to draw closer to Allah.

1. Unity and Equality

   During Hajj, all Muslims, regardless of their race, nationality, or social status, wear similar white garments (Ihram), symbolizing the unity and equality of all before Allah. It emphasizes the concept of universal brotherhood in Islam.

2. A Unique Act of Worship

   Hajj is the only Islamic pilgrimage that takes place in a specific location—Mecca—and involves a series of distinct rituals. It is an opportunity to perform acts of worship that are not available elsewhere, like the Tawaf around the Ka'bah and the standing at Arafah.
