Henry Morton Stanley was a Welsh-American explorer, journalist, soldier and many more things as well as a murder. He is politically famous for his exploration in the Congo of Africa. He was the first person to get across the whole Congo. He was also the leader and assistant of King Leopold ll in the Atrocities in The Congo Free state.

Henry Morton Stanley is the one to blame for 10 million deaths in the Congo free state because he tortured and killed so many Congolese people. He stood by all the deaths happening and the torture and didn't one time stop it or change it. Not only was he and evil man to the Congolese people he also had an expedition with 350 of his own men and they only came back with 100 men. He was a brutal murder and gruesome killer. Henry M. Stanley created a disease in the Congolese people as well. He chained workers together and made them carry heavy loads for miles, creating diseases which was the main cause of so many of the deaths in the Congo.

This demonstrates that Henry M. Stanley tried to pose as being a man unaware of the Atrocities but he actually knew that wasn't true. He willingly stood by this appalling act and had no remorse for it. He had one thing in front of him from the start and that was to become rich and have power over the Congolese. He stole rubber, ivory and native materials with force.Additionally Henry M. Stanley could have stopped leopold or soldiers from killing the Congolese people but didn't. He was a liar and was the reason 10 million Congolese people died. He was an abominable man and was vile to the innocent congolese.
