Clay can be pinched, pressed, moulded into different shapes. it is described as a site of invention, perceived as being more alive, one is drawn to nature when you touch and feel the texture of clay, how smooth or rough it is. clay is malleable and can be moulded to create different shapes. The exposure of clay in different environments changes the final product created, for example, when very dry, it can crack and form dust, and when it is burnt, it solidifies and hardens the end product.
experiment 1
I moulded clay in my hands and realised that it could easily stick on my hands, I then decided to create different shapes with the clay, one was a caterpillar, a pig and also stuck the clay on a block, the clay took the shape it was moulded into.
Experiment 2
After making this objects I decided to experiment on it by painting while it was still wet, I noticed that the paint did not loose it colour on the wet clay, I then let the painted mould dry slowly outside.

IMPLICATION IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION.
Clay is as "a site of invention." (Stengers, Manning & Masumi, 2014, pg.3). With clay children are able think and become creative by touching, feeling and creating with their hands. children are also able to interact with the environment and natural resources, for example, in the forest during excursions, they get to interact with trees and along the river they can connect with the water. Their fine motor skills are also developed by them feeling how smooth clay will feel on their hands, how cold or how wet.

INTRODUCTION
Art is the creative use imagination by the human brain to express its ideas on paper, paint or other materials, in the following padlets , we will be exploring materials such as paper, charcoal, paint and clay. we will experiment how we can creatively use these materials artistically, ( Deleuze 2006), "encounter with material, objects and places with humans become part of experiences, stories are told through experimentation with materials." We will also explore music as a form of art, how we can use music not only to hear but also to be able to listen to the sound and words and be able to create meaning.
we will be able to look at the implications of these materials in early childhood education, how we can explore this materials and its importance in the holistic development of a child.

Music is the art of sound and rhythm to express ideas, emotions and feelings through melody, some people say, music has a healing power.
Different cultures have different music and musical instruments. As music is a form of rhythm, we can use locally available instruments or objects to enhance the rhythm. For example using sticks and bottles to produce sound. children are able to learn the art of deep listening, that is by directing attention of what is heard, gathering meaning, interpreting and deciding on action Oliveros, (1999).

IMPLICATION.
Music is important in the development of language in children, they tend to retain information through music. " Every child has hundred languages and one of the languages is Edward & Gandini. (2011).
Dancing to music and use of instruments helps in the development of a child's gross and fine motor skill.

Upon exploring the different forms of art, we can conclude that, with the experience of all the materials and music, children are able to be creative in expressing their emotions and feelings through art. The beauty of art is that it does not need to be very organized, we can simply use naturally.
acquired materials and be creative. Art is important in the development of the child, both creatively and physically.

Paint can be mixed, dabbed or spilled to create art. when we think of paint we imagine the different colours, children respond to colour differently, however in a room we think of how paint will bring out the aesthetic of the room rather than how children will experience the paint, therefore paint acts as both a noun and a verb. Ingold (2016)
Experiment 1
paint is an assemblage , I picked up four different colours and poured some on a piece of white paper, with my paint brush I thought of mixing the different colour to see the end product, I then decided to bring out my artistic skills to paint on the paper,
Experiment 2
with the thought of how I can form a rainbow on a piece of paper, I painted a paper towel the different colours of the rainbow, then gently let the paper towel float on water, after some time I noticed that the paint had moved to the area that was not painted forming the layers of the rainbow colours.
Both human and non-human are brought together by paint, The paint assemblage becomes a world of powerful affects and intensities." Pacini-ketchabaw, Kind & Kocher.( 2016, pg.53-61)

Implications
Paint encourages creativity and improvisation, children are able to make handprints using paint on a piece of paper rather than using a paint brush, they can also paint on surfaces such as leaves and stones.

Paper can be used in many different ways, writing on it, cutting to different sizes and shapes, painting on them. paper is regarded as a surface that carries messages, lists, marks drawings or stories. Pancini. (2016, pg.31)
Experiment 1
I collected some papers from my house, some were coloured and others were just white, I then cut the papers into small pieces of different shapes, paper can be stuck using glue on other pieces of paper, or on any surface.
Experiment 2
I picked up a piece of paper, there was an invitation to experiment on it by folding then opened the folded paper and noticed that I had made a paper fan. After I was done with the papers, rolled them into small balls ready for the trash can, I then realised that the paper could be used as a ball, it easily took the shape it was rolled into.
in the process there is a sense of events that take place involving the process of developing rhythm and expression of feelings on the material, this process results to making an object. Ingold ( 2013).

IMPLICATIONS
Using paper to create art helps with the physical development of children, it helps with the hand-eye coordination and development of fine motor skills.
Problem solving skills are also developed where children are able to think and decide on an object or art they can create with paper. Children can collect all was paper then soak it water for some time, they can make small balls from this paper, or manipulate the paper on sticks and make objects of their imagination, the objects can then be left to dry then painted on.

Charcoal is the black bristle substance that is formed after wood is not fully burnt or charred. when experimenting with charcoal, I thought of the different encounters and one of them was a social gathering with friends during a bon fire, as the fire burns and leaves charcoal behind this reminds me of the stories we have shared with friends.
Experiment 1
with the pieces of charcoal , we can possibly use it to scribble on a piece of paper, the charcoal can also be used to colour instead of crayons as it leaves a black colour on most papers.
Experiment 2
I collected some charcoal from a bonfire pit, it was hard and rough to touch, I thought then crossed my mind to grind the charcoal pieces into a powder form, then mixed the powder into a paste, I this then provoked my mind with possibilities such as using a paint brush to charcoal paint a piece of paper, as it dried, a permanent piece of art was formed

Charcoal is an encounter, the texture and colour left on the fingers when we touch it leaves memories in our skin and cloth. Massumi (2002). The moment compels one into paying attention, leaving a sensation felt at the moment. Pacini, (2016, pg.43)

IMPLICATTION.
Charcoal is important in early childhood education as the children it is practical and encourages creativity, in an excursion in the bush we are able to pick charcoal and they may be able to discover how charcoal is made, during room activities on the yarning cycle, children can be taught on the origin of charcoal and how it was used a long time ago, in their imagination, they can use charcoal to create art.
