This type of hate crime has become almost a pattern now. Individuals coming together and collectively deciding that it is the okay thing to do to go with loaded firearms to a place of prayer and peace for Muslim individuals and start shooting at women and children as well as the men. Imagine the terror the was felt as this was taking place. One of the shooters was disgusting enough to wear a go pro camera on his head and decided to film the lives being taken as if he was in a movie of some sort. In this video the man the interviewer shows the mass killers video that was recorded from a go pro camera of him shooting at anyone in sight. The interviewer asks the mother of the mass killer, "what do you think he deserves?" She responded that he deserves the death penalty for the crimes that he has committed and the fact that so many lives were lost the shooters mother said that it is only right that he pay with his life for the lives lost because of him. Within days of the Christchurch shootings all assault weapons were banned in New Zealand. This is what shows that peoples lives matter. All the times that these types of mass shootings have happened in America, no action has been taken to remove the weapons that cause this, but instead an average person can own a gun and have in on their person as long as they have the proper legal documents. The  devastation she must feel is uncalled for. She speaks on how at first she wanted the mass killer to be punished severely but then she realized that revenge is not what her religion teaches her, she realized that she has it in her to forgive the mass killer. The prophet used to forgive the people that killed his own relatives because that is what islam is and revenge is frowned upon. Several marches and rallies took place. People all over the world got together to mourn the loses of the victims families. It is truly beautiful how people can becomes one like this, but just as terrifying how fast people turn on each other because of religious and racial differences.
