It goes into detail over what it deems the 5 steps to getting starting with UDL. Nelson compares some of what teachers may be doing in classrooms with what UDL requires. Nelson does this in a positive, encouraging way. For example, Nelson introduces an "Original Goal" vs a "Rewritten Goal" using UDL. There is just a slight difference, so it shows how with just some tweaks, a teacher can use UDL in the classroom. Nelson covers things such as ways students can express what they have learned and gives examples of different tools students can use. Reflection is included in this article as the last step for implenting UDL.
