We encourage the students to write a reflection of 300 words on just about everything we complete!

I encourage students to take notes while they are researching. I also have them write a draft before typing their research paper. I teach in the computer lab.

I have students write how their resources are relevant to their research topics. I teach information literacy in an Intro to Library Resources class

I encourage writing in my classroom by having open response questions and starters in my classroom. I teach science and I would love to do more reading and writing, but we have a lot of kids who are really below reading level so this makes it so hard to read and write in my science class.

I teack in Adult Education and help students to pass their GED. Reading and writing are a big part of the GED, as they are in all levels of education. We encourage them to write essays that make them choose a side, write about things they love, and use various books and websites that will help them with their areas of weakness.
