CoFED launched and completed our very first round of regranting funds through our Cooperative Fund (CoFUND) through which we raised and redistributed $75K among 13 BIPOC-led coops around the country! Co-op Innovation award of $35,000

NASCO was recently awarded a Co-op Innovation award of $35,000 to help a 209-unit apartment building in Stockton, CA to transition to a group-equity cooperative. This project will pilot a scalable model where we’ll work with tenants’ unions and residents of apartment buildings facing displacement and gentrification to provide training, and give them the tools to buy the properties and own them through the group-equity model.
