The author uses dual voice narrative to show the struggles of two characters. The author makes the book less confusing and makes the book more likable if the reader knows what is going on instead of being very confused. If there was no dual voice narrative, they would be only one story, or it would just be very confusing. So, the author put dual voice to make the reader know which section it is and to make them understand the book better. In conclusion, without dual voice narrative, the reader would be very confused.

I think the author uses dual voice because maybe so the reader knows whats the diffrence between the diffrent years. Meaning in "Long walk to water" they have one text with Nya thats taking place in 2000's and in Salva's text its taking place in the early 1900's. To sum up the author is trying to show you how it makes a there life diffrent in diffrent time periods.

The author is using dual voice because there is a different narrator for Nya's section and Salvas section. This helps the reader undersrand what story your reading at that time by organizing the authors and events. This breaks up the voices to help you gather information clearly from that secton.
