The way I feel about the climate control is to just let Mother Nature do her thing and stop trying to control her. No one can control nature so why would you just stop having it all together right. No, very bad idea because you might not feel the same way that the others do about climate control. STOP TRYING TO CONTROL BIG MAMA AND LET HER DO HER THING!!!!!!

Why do everyone have to ride bikes?

The Theme In The Giver

I think that the theme of the book is to always value you individuality. The reason why I say that is because in the book they have to follow the rules and cannot do nothing outside the rules. Also by using evidence from the book it says, that at the ceremony of Tens they get their hair sniped off. And Asher used to say “smack” instead of “snack” and he would get smacked. You can’t have anything your or say things your way because you have to follow the rules. You don’t have to follow the rules at school you don’t have to go to school, but in that world they have too. So, please if you are reading this blog post please value your individuality with all your heart. That is what I think is the theme of the book The Giver.

Climate Control:
One that Climate Control is addressed in The Giver is they stop all things that are disturbing the cycle of the food production.
Page 105 “Why don’t we have snow, and sled, and hills?” he asked. ”And when did we in the past? Did my parents have sleds when they were young? Did You?”

Page 106 “Climate Control. Snow made growing food difficult, limited the agricultural periods. And unpredictable weather mad transportation almost impossible at times. It wasn’t a practical thing, so it became obsolete when we went to Sameness.”

http://earthsky.org/earth/top-10-countries-most-at-risk-from-climate-change

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ld2maUitnTg

One way I feel about the book is that, it is very inspiring. The reason I said that is because, the way that society is run today is better than the society in the book. I know many people were really mad about our future President – I was too. But we all need to compare the way we live right now to the way that Jonas lived. I think that I would be more to have Donald Trump as my president, then to live in a Gerontocracy Society(which means a government ruled by the Elders). Think about the book and find a way that it inspires you, and use that inspiration to make a difference in the society today.

Then the strangest thing of all happens to him, his name is skipped over. Once he receives his assignment he is faced with the biggest decision of his life. Will he stay and live the wrong or will he leave and face the unknown. You just have to read and find out.
