Since kids love dolls they obviously want it. But, the kids don't know what will happen if they touch it. The doll that Alma wanted kept moving because it was trying to stop her from doing it cause if she touched she would become the doll. There was also a doll riding a bike and was trying  to stop her and at the  same time it was trying to escape. But nothing was stopping her. She really wanted the doll. The dolls tried to stop her. She climbed the shelf and finally touched the doll. Then she turned into the doll. Right after that, the place the doll she turned into immediately replaced it with another doll to attract another kid.
