         <description><![CDATA[<p>A teacher and I led a K Team a meeting about Dreambox, and now two more teachers are going to implement Dreambox in their classrooms. </p><p>To see how other teachers are using Dreambox and structuring their math block, Bob planned a site visit to D96. Bob, two Meyer teachers, and I saw how D96 K and 1st grade teachers were implementing guided math in their classrooms, and using Dreambox as a station. We are going to use our learning to help inform the K2016 restructuring of the kindergarten schedule at Meyer. We may also take more K teachers out there so they can see what we are sharing firsthand.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I feel like Annie and I did a great job getting through all of the PARCC training with the kids. I received a lot of positive feedback that from kids who said they were glad we had taught them those things because they knew what to do. I had a few teachers also comment in that regard. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mystery Skype is being revived again.  It has now made it's way to 4th and 5th grade teachers.  Working with 5th grade and Ann around their research project.  Will help them use a green screen to create PSAs at the end of the project.   Have helped 3 teachers use Nearpod in their classrooms. Classes from across Middleton will be participating in a Webinar with Jane Goodall on Monday 4/20. Blogging with a 2nd grade class.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I've been working with a 3rd grade teacher on her differentiated math stations.  She's been very reflective, and using data formatively.  This is even more exciting because she was initially very reluctant to work with me and now she is so proud of how far she has come with this process!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>At the "Coaching the Coaches" workshop at KU last week I learned so much!  The most impactful learning was around the 7 success factors of a coaching program.  I will be using this to create a sort of strategic plan for instructional coaching next year.  I also brought you all a little memento from the Instructional Coaching Group...enjoy your little "padlets" and spread some coaching cheer.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Continuing to support teachers as they begin to use IXL as a math station or anchor.</p><p>Worked with Donna Buss to develop and implement Pre and Post Assessment for the 4th Grade Nutrition Unit.  Was cool to see the unit from start to finish.</p><p>Scheduled to help 5th grade implement enrichment project.  Students that pass the pre assessment will be able to create a virtual museum.</p>]]></description>

It is going swimmingly.  </p><p>Had an impromptu Skype sessions with a 4th grade teacher.  It went so well it got me an appointment with a teacher I haven't worked with yet.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>My relationship with Alex Lee that I developed through creating a word wall has paid off with PARCC training. He spent time going through the math tutorials and coming up with the answers and then explaining them to me. This is invaluable to me (who has avoided thinking about since 1983)!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I did a whole-group Explain Everything/math number stories with addition lesson in a kindergarten classroom. After guided practice with the iPads (the teacher borrowed enough to have one for each student), students were able to almost independently create their project using the app. I put them together (with some editing) to create a movie for the teacher to put on her Moodle for parents to see. Yay WeVideo!! I am doing the same lesson with another teacher tomorrow, and Bob is coming to observer our use of the iPads at Meyer.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Helped a teacher and her students move toward independence with anchor activities!  Used the GRR model to help the teacher implement flexible grouping through math stations, use technology as an anchor (co-coaching with Keri!), and differentiate for the different levels in her room.  She also had shared the video of her lesson with a team member and had the team member do a peer observation of her math stations.  The team member has begun implementing math stations and choice boards!  Through the course of this partnership with the teacher, used the Identify a Goal sheet and the Watch Yourself and Watch Your Students docs to help guide our discussions.</p><p>Working with another teacher on implementing another tech anchor in her classroom to help students go deeper with math word problems, as well as discussion questions to help her students focus on important details.  Again, used video and reflection questions with teacher in a debrief.</p><p>Partnering with another teacher (and Keri) to help bring math rotations into her math lessons, using IXL as one of the anchors to help her differentiate.</p><p>Partnered with a teacher to help her students better understand what is happening when they "ungroup" by using an anchor activity and through class and partner discussion.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I did a full differentiation coaching cycle with the K Team! It included team planning at B&amp;C meeting, materials prep by me, co-teaching planning meetings with each teacher on the K Team, co-teaching, and reflections about how the lesson went (either in person or by email). Teachers responded that the  three activities we did all at once went much more smoothly than they originally thought they would.</p>]]></description>
