He was an Italian boy at the time where his father constantly encouraged him to get and education and pursue a medical career. But while studying he had come up with a brilliant idea which in turn would make him one of the key scientists during the scientific revolution.

Contrary to popular belief he did not create the telescope, he simply just made one that was much much more powerful then other telescopes.

He found out that everything does not revolve around the earth but the sun, he found that Jupiter had moons that DID NOT orbit Earth, therefore justifying his claim

Also continuing the study of The law of motion, much as how Newton agreed and discovered this himself. The law of motion is the movement of an object and how they will all fall the same unless extra force is added to one over the other

He was also a teacher in his life, and everyone loved him, they thought he was great due to his quick wit and good sense of humor.

We now no longer believe that earth is the center of our galaxy.

We now have a better understanding of The laws of motion with the help of Galileo.

His advancement of the telescope changed the world by how much farther it could see than other telescopes. Which allowed us to see even more of what is around our earth and other planets like Jupiter for example. He found out that Jupiter had 4 moons revolving around it, So that's why he developed geocentrism, with the theory that all the planets revolve around the earth.
