Today we spent time by the sea, discovered beautiful shells, were treated to traditional homemade food, and explored the underwater world through diving. As we listened to the quiet rhythm of the ocean, I felt a deep sense of peace settle within me. I realized that the connection to the sea brings not just calmness, but a profound kind of soul-deep serenity. Being underwater felt like entering an entirely different world: quiet, weightless, and far removed from the rush of everyday life. It's in those moments that I learned how healing and grounding nature can truly be.

Eric: learnt not to swim with his iPhone in salty water cause it’s completely broke down now🥲

Today I believed in the healing properties of water, because it really is good to be near it - the mood is better, the photos are brighter and the lunch is tastier. Today was my first day of snorkeling at depth and I am proud of myself, because the underwater world is multifaceted.

Sailing through the turquoise waters of Guadeloupe is an experience that overwhelms the senses. The soft breeze on your face, the salty scent in the air, and the rhythm of the waves offer a feeling of freedom and harmony, almost primal.

During the stops on the islets, the absolute stillness gifts moments of pure contemplation. Walking on the white sand, feeling the warmth of the sun, and gazing at the endless blue sea generate a deep sense of gratitude and connection with nature.

Today, the sea became both sanctuary and teacher. As we sailed among the atolls of Guadeloupe, danced through turquoise waters over gleaming white sands, and shared laughter with feet immersed in the warm shallows, I felt the therapeutic power of the ocean ripple through body and mind.

There is something elemental in water—something deeply restorative. It dissolves tension with its rhythm, silences worry with its vastness, and heals not just the physical self but the very core of our being. In the ocean’s embrace, thoughts scattered like grains of sand and clarity emerged. It reminded me that healing isn’t always found in silence, but often in the movement of waves and the joy of human connection.

Today, the sea whispered another truth: that water, essential for life, is fragile. Despite its immense presence, it bears the wounds of human carelessness—pollution, plastic, neglect. Its beauty masked a quiet plea. If we listen closely, we hear it urging us to reconnect. To preserve it. To tread more lightly.

We must treat water not just as a resource, but as a partner in our wellbeing—a mirror of our own inner clarity. It’s time to clean our waters, protect our oceans, and honor their gift. Because when we protect nature, we protect the sanctuary that nourishes us.

Tuesday, 22 July 2025

What can I say? Today was the kind of day anyone could only wish for. Nothing but blue all around — the endless sky, the vast sea — and the feeling of freedom on the boat was incredible. Samuel is a master at navigating the sea; he listens to his passengers and truly cares about what they want. Out there, we were the masters of the world, hugging the sea with open arms.

The company was amazing: my dear Italian friends Milva Rinaudo, Eliana Lerda, and Federico Flecchia — the best of the best! As we say, “smeh je poln zdravja” — laughter is half of health. My dear friends, I will definitely visit Cuneo next school year, whether alone or with my teachers — either way, it will happen.

Having lunch at sea was a superb experience — it was the first time I’ve ever done something like this. Sitting in the sea, gnawing on a chicken drumstick — I still can’t believe it! I was so grateful that Michel was sitting next to me; we were toasting, toasting to the health of our children, who wait for us with open hearts.

The experience was made even richer by the wonderful guests from Marseille and Bordeaux. We exchanged stories and realized just how small this big world really is.

Rita, this was an incredible experience, for which I will be forever grateful to you — despite the pain from the strong sun! Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

I learned that humans interfere with nature, and that this isn’t always a good thing. That’s why I want to be more mindful about protecting the planet. I also learned that the sound of the sea has a very calming effect.
