-(page 2) She'd just assumed that Sadie would love it too. She'd never even bothered to ask how Sadie felt about it. - Jimmy was worried about 'something sacred being destroyed'

- We infer that Jimmy doesn't have a positive relationship with Gerry; soon as Jimmy Saw Gerry he bolted out the door acting very suspicious
- Sadie took Lachie to the sacred place. In the distance she could hear the crows cawring angrily in the distance.
- Sadie, Walter, Ellie & David entered the pub and everybody went silent and started whispering because we find out Walter & David are indigenous. 
- Lachie didn't stand up for Sadie when Jules and all of their friends were being racist pigs towards Sadie & Walter. This changed out perception of Lachie. 

Quotes:
-(p.53) "Sadie knew there was no one else in town, in the whole district, who would bring out thte best china to serve a black stockman a cup of tea" This shows how the Hazzards value Jimmy as an equal and they have no racial underlines. 

-(p.62) "She revised her decision not to talk to anyone, anyone didn't include Lachie".  This gives us an understanding of Sadie's relationship with Lachie.

-(p.68) "So now it's our special place, okay our secret"-Lachie, "Sadie nodded. She could hear crows cawing angrily somewhere in the distance"  This tells us that Sadie's choice of showing Lachie the sacred place was a grave mistake, and the crows aren't happy.

-(p.72) "But she felt as if the spotlight had been trained onto their little group of two white females and two black males" This shows that the town is not used to interracial relationships.

-(p.76)"Go on with your abo boyfriend" Which shows that Jules isn't fond of the aboriginal/indigenous culture and their people.

-(p.75)"come on kids,' he drawled you heard Jules your turn is over he didn't even look at Sadie he just looked at Walter" This shows that Lachie is racist as he pin point Walter while saying all those mean stuff.

Ellie & David were fighting over the incident at the Pub.

Ellie use to date Craig Mortlock but left Craig for David - this caused David to be beaten up by Craig and his friends

Sadie went back onto the past and witnesses Jimmy, Clarry and Gerry fighting over Gerry wanting to flood the valley

Jimmy said that it's against the law to flood the 'sacred place' and it's similar to burning a church 

We can infer that... Jimmy is the spirit that 'cannot be put to rest' and that Gerry might harm Jimmy Raven over the dam...

"The gentle tick-tick of the clock in Clarry and Jean's Kitchen, and rising above them all, the long, mournful Lament of the crows." (p.84) Saddie was getting used to the crows and living in the past but still knew that she had betrayed Betrayed them by telling Lachie.

"The people who belong to that place, they're not here to protect it, so i got to do it." (p.92) Jimmy knew that that he had found something sacred and knew that if Gerald flooded the valley those things would be destroyed.

- Sadie was forced back in time and saw a horrible crime

- Sadie was shocked to see her father 'Clarry' cover up the crime and stick up for Gerry even when he knew it was the wrong thing to do
- We learnt that Clarry was in debt to the Mortlocks and if anything happened to him, the family would be bust

The quote above is important because Aunt Lily was told that Jimmy had ran away even tho he was assassinated by gerald mortlock, and Clarry was an accessory to the matter.
