I have some general ideas about where I am headed, but I feel like my ideas are not as specific and cohesive as they could be. I am just working through which routes I want to take. I am also a bit overwhelmed about finding sources and academia around my topic.

I like my burning question that I am using for my case study, but I now need to ground my responses in evidence from our partnership with LNS and our class readings. I am just feeling a bit overwhelmed by not feeling confident in my case study!

Our students are such stars that we had very little aspects of their work that we struggled with so I am struggling to figure out an avenue to direct my case study.

I have ideas, I just need to do it and sit down and work on it. I think once I do that, I'll feel better. TBH not having a rubric is scary... I always have a rubric. I know it's good to not have one because it gives me freedom, but what if there are some unspoken expectations out there? What if what I am envisioning is completely different than what's being expected of me?

In all honesty, I am really struggling with a topic on my case study. I think that this is because I feel like I am meshing a lot of my ideas together with the Un-Five Paragraph Essay in Rachael's class, so it's just a lot of confusion. I would love to hear where people think they might go with their case study to just gain some inspiration and insight to other wonderful ideas.

I have a few ideas as to where to go but they just aren't started yet. I think I have one way that I know I want to go and I feel good about it, but not sure where to go and I feel like I don't really have anything for it yet

I have a single idea so far, but I am not confident I would be able to write an entire case study on just that idea.

I have an idea that I'm pretty confident in exploring, I am just concerned about the whole time frame and magnitude of the assignment. I am also worried that I won't have enough usable data from the North Star students. I think that I just need to try it out and see what happens.

I have a few ideas, and one of them I am pretty narrowed in on. However I would say I am a bit nervous about finding resources on it, but I do know this topic would be easy to refer back to experiences at North Star for help. There is an example case study that is related to my topic that should be able to provide me with some direction as well.

I honestly don't know why I voted for the second one because I don't know for sure if I have any ideas. I think I want to talk about how vulnerability in writing and how writing what students know/experience makes for better writing than things they have just researched by I don't know. I'm feeling very overwhelmed if I'm honest so I think I just need time to stew and sit with my thoughts.

I know I want to tackle revision in us and high school. I am stymied AND excited by the many options for how I might could do this.

I am confident in the direction I want to go with my Case Study. I think the ideas I have are all there. The only thing I am a bit nervous about is being able to use two different student's within my Case study because I did not have the time to work with the NS students in the ways that everyone else was able to work with them due to my absence for a few weeks.

Well, I had voted for response 1 but I feel that I should've switched it to response 2 because that is more accurate to how I'm feeling. I just sorta have some ideas to move with but not really sure how to expand on any of those or turn it into a full length case study. I think that it will all work out in the end, but as of right now I'm just not sure where to head with this one, and if my ideas are even strong enough to amount to anything.

I have an idea that I really like, but I'm a little worried about finding research and structuring the paper, just because it is a topic I haven't heard a lot about so far in my classes. I think that I also need to find a central thesis statement/argument, as my current idea is more of a general questioning. I think I just need to focus more on researching in order to get more answers about the direction of the paper.

I think I know what I will be writing my case study on, but I think I will struggle to find connections to our class readings that pertain to my situation. When I wrote my visit reflection on the event that I want to do my case study on, I couldn't think of any readings we had done that would've applied.

After today, I feel like I can move forward with the idea of effort and motivation in essay writing. There are noticeable differences in the writing outputs of students who were willing to conference and those who were reluctant to conference. I would also like to reflect about my own experiences with effort and motivation in my high school classes as someone who struggled with that myself. I didn't like much of the writing requirements and felt restricted to writing the school-type essays instead of what I was actually interested in writing.

Especially after reflecting on our NS writings today, I was able to come up with a few more ideas and I think I have a somewhat strong one. Right now, I am mostly struggling with switching my brain and how it works to write the Un-5-Paragraph essay and the more formal case study. I think I just need to outline both to help me switch my thinking and style of writing to make sure that I am successful in both of these assignments.
