We must learn the difference on what are the things that is within and without our control.
2. We must control our desires by wanting what we already have, and thinking what would happen if we lost whatever we have.
3.
People from the past are the best people to listen to. (1.) They are the one's who experience slavery and pain at it's highest form. Knowing about this term simply remind me that these people actually learned to be contented and grateful despite of what they had or will have. However, for me, (2.) it's not just enough to be expectant that there are things we cannot control. But also it is important that above all these things there is God who sees and hears the truth for our pains. It could be due to us ourselves or from other people. All I can say is that, (3.) Stoicism is like not trusting the justice of the world as it is not completely fair. But I know that the Lord is fair even though it's in His most incomprehensible way.
