         <description><![CDATA[<div>So I have played around with the brushes and painted some oranges as an experiment. An animal painting is coming in the next couple of days.<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>A great start Daniela!<br>A good use of thick to thin brush strokes.<br>Experiment by increasing the saturation where your light source is, and make the surface that the oranges is resting on darker than the shade on the orange. Traditionally, the surface would be close to the cool (blues/purples) colour pallette - to contrast the orange warm colours :)<br>Look forward to seeing more of your work! <br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I decided to use my rabbit as a muse, and tried my best to show the fur. It was a lot of rotating the brush... but, the background is kind of boring. I suppose I was going for dirt, but i could maybe add some extras like twigs??? or like.. weeds? rocks? thoughts????<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>A great idea painting from life.<br>You have captured the form very well with tonal changes within the fur. I would be weary of using larger brush strokes with one colour as it can begin to look flat in those areas.<br>Tell a story within the painting. Add chew marks into the leaves? :)</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Here is the animal painting. Definitely feel a lot more comfortable using the brushes now, and have used some more saturated colours. I still feel like I need to work on forms and edge control. I need to improve my rendering and details too. <br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>It looks like you enjoyed painting this piece with a good amount of detail. You have utilised the colour palette of the original old master painting very well. <br>To push this even further, I would sharpen the edges of the horses reins and on the flowers. <br>Use large brush strokes to fill in the overall form, but not to add detail.<br>The inclusion of the timelapse video was very helpful! Well done.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I worked into it a little more. I added more texture to the fur to try and break up the flat areas, and add more detail of course. I also added the chew marks and some leaves hanging from their mouths. Also, I decided to try and add more texture to the background, and add some small weed like flowers scattered around the ground. Thoughts?<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>Much better, Chris. The inclusion of individual strands of hair really adds texture to the painting. <br>The skin areas slightly blend into the fur, this could be defined a bit more, but this is a minor detail. Well done!</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I decided to go with something more dynamic for my entry.Ended up using only 4 of the provided brushes, and i think that allowed for more consistency in my brushwork, although it still could've been better.<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>The stark contrast from the background to the foreground is a nice touch. A good use of brush strokes, however the brush strokes are very sharp. A contrast between soft and hard edges would be more reminiscent of an old masters painting.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Due to Photoshop not working I painted this in Clip Studio Paint using a mix of various textured brush and some soft brushes. I tried creating my own brushes with the ones from Rob, but they were not as textured. I tried to mix areas of soft shading and harsher shading while also painting on a textured canvas bg.<br>In the end I think it could be refined more mainly around the head area.<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>A great start and would love to see this being pushed a little further. The background blends into the colours on the wolf, perhaps try painting with a cooler background to compliment the wolf's fur.<br>Also experiment using small brush strokes with more gradient changes.<br>  <br></strong><br></div>]]></description>

The colour of the rhino is blending into the background. Use cooler colours, close to gray to create that seperation.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I struggled to replicate using just the painting so resorted to using darker lines to sketch an outline. I felt without the edges felt too ethereal and lacked a solid form. I noticed the lasso tool helped a lot in keeping a hard edge without a line.<br><br><strong>Feedback<br>Interesting composition Thiago. I'd like to see this concept pushed further! The lines are their as a guide, slowly begin to paint over them. Don't be afraid of the results. If you dont feel like it's working, submit it and we will critiq it together.<br>Well done.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Painted this in Procreate with the Jama brushes. I used more of a realistic style with implying detail through rough brush strokes and used the smudge tool around the piece to blend and create shapes, almost like you would manipulate real oil paints. <br>To improve, I think I could have experimented a little more with the background and maybe work into some of the more intricate body details more.<br><strong><br>FEEDBACK:<br>Well done! It's looking great with a good amount of detail on the horse. The dark background is fine for a study but if you would like to continue adding to this painting, then as you observed, it would be good to see a background. The background will have softer edges than the hard edges of the horse to retain center focus.</strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Another quick animal painting. I took into consideration the feedback from the previous one so I’ve tried to balance out soft with hard edges and areas of detail with areas with broader strokes. I would like to work on identifying my point of interest and playing around with the level of detail in the different parts of the piece. Overall I can feel myself getting more comfortable with the medium and am starting to really enjoy the process.<br><br><strong>FEEDBACK:<br>I can see that you have taken my feedback onboard - great use of soft to hard edges. Birds are a hard to to paint as their feathers reflect a lot of light. The current painting has one tone - within one section of the colour wheel.
