Explanation: This activity would allow students to explore the nations they had just learned about in a more hands on an engaging format. The virtual field trip would allow students to get a birds eye view of different areas of these countries including major land marks. Pedagogy: Viewing Images from the era

Technology: Image sharing sites, projectors/ SMARTBoards

Explanation: This activity would work well together, because images within a history course are more interesting than a textbook explanation of an event. Viewing images on a projection device and talking aloud about the importance of the image would be more engaging for students and by posting the image to a sharing site the students would be able to continue to have access to the images after class in order to study.
