    In all cases, the content starts off easier, and progresses to more difficult learning towards the end of the topic. 

    Similarly, most revision and formative assessment occurs towards the end of the topic. 
    After this, learning material is given out to prepare students for future topics. 

    As pointed out by the mentors, Year 9 has an emphasis on UK geography because those who do not choose geography at GCSE will not study it afterwards. It is therefore necessary for them to have an understanding of the UK before they stop learning.
