As a young child, Reagan's family often moved to multiple small towns in Northern Illinois, but finally settled in Dixon, Illinois. He attended Dixon High School where he developed interests in Sports, acting, and story-telling. Ronald Reagan attended and graduated from Eureka College and majored in economics and sociology in 1932. </div>]]></description>

Together they had two children: Maureen and Christine and adopted a third, Michael. Christine died a day after she was born. Reagan married again in 1952 to Nancy Davis. They had two children together as well: Patti and Ronald "Ron" Reagan. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After College, Reagan took multiple jobs as a radio announcer in the Northern Mid West. He was a broadcaster for the Chicago Cubs in the mid 1930s. While traveling with the Cubs in 1937. Ronald Reagan had a screen test in California which led to a seven-year contract with Warner Brothers Studios. Here Reagan appeared in multiple films such as: "Love is in the Air" in 1937, Dark Victory in 1939, and King's Row in 1942.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Early in 1942, Reagan was ordered to active military duty in San Francisco, California. Due to his poor eyesight, he was classified for limited service only. On January 14th, 1943, Reagan was promoted to first lieutenant and was sent to the Provisional Task Force Show Unit of This Is the Army at Burbank, California. He returned and was promoted to Captain on July 22nd, 1943.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ronald Reagan began his political career as a Hollywood Democrat as Franklin D Roosevelt was a true hero to him. Reagan later moved to the right-wing in the 1950s and became a Republican in 1962.  During the campaign, America was dealing with the Iran Hostage Crisis. Reagan's campaign stressed some of his fundamental principles: lower taxes to stimulate the economy, less government interference in people's lives, states' rights, and a strong national defense. His campaign slogan was "Let's Make America Great Again."</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ronald Reagan nominated former primary opponent George H.W. Bush as Vice President during his campaign trail in the 1980 election. Ronald Reagan was elected President in 1981 and served until 1989 as a Republican President. During President Reagan's term in office, Reagan was a very important role in the end of the Cold War in the mid 1980s. Reagan both expanded the military and brought changes to the US economy.  During his presidency, on March 30th, 1981, Reagan was attacked by gunfire and was rushed to a nearby hospital in Washington D.C. where he underwent a surgery. He was the first serving president to survive and assassination attempt.</div>]]></description>
