To start off our tour our first stop is Niagara Falls Ontario. Niagara Falls is a waterfall that attracts many tourists and people. There are endless amounts of things to do such as zip lining across the falls, biking or walking through the circle route, walking through the nature trails and so much more. Make sure to walk around at night time after dark to see the falls change colors because of the lights and it is indescribably beautiful. People even get married at this destination because it is so amazing (“Tourism and Visitors to Niagara Falls”). This destination is very unique and important because there are not many waterfalls in Canada and it is really beautiful (Harris). Niagara Falls attracts many people and has been around for over 12 000 years. The falls go back so many years for example to the ice age. The people that were most likely to have found Niagara falls were the Native Americans that were living in Niagara at the time (“History of Niagara Falls”). Over 20 million people visit Niagara Falls every year. There are hotels that you can stay at and you can have the best views of the falls. Niagara Falls is the perfect place to bring your family and friends. Especially when you have kids that love to zipline, see beautiful sites and enjoy nature!

Our next destination on our tour is The Quebec Citadel, which is located in Quebec City. This fortress was built between 1820 and 1831 by the British. This fortress was built to defend the French and keep them safe. This is the only Historical Fortress in North America that is still active. This landmark helped defend Quebec City and the people there. (“Parks Canada - Québec Citadel National Historic Site of Canada”). The Quebec Citadel is a really beautiful sight and there is so much to see and learn about. The Quebec Citadel is in a star shape which was really strategic when it came to defending Quebec and the French people (“Citadelle de Québec - Historical Sites | Activities and Attractions | Visit Québec City”). What are we going to do here? You may ask. We are going to tour around the Citadel and the museum and we are going to learn about all the intriguing facts about the Citadel in Quebec City.

Our third stop of the tour is in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. The landmark that we are going to be touring is the Fortress of Louisbourg! This landmark is an 18th century town. The design was changed to make it the largest reconstruction of its kind. It used to be an important cod fishing port and a trading center. The Fortress of Louisbourg has a museum that demonstrates peoples lifestyles and how they interact in everyday life (“The reconstructed site - Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site”). In North America the largest historical reconstruction is the Fortress of Louisbourg. People who visit the Fortress book a minimum of four hours for a visit. (“Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site | Tourism Nova Scotia, Canada”). There is a lot to learn about the Fortress of Louisbourg. It is a great place to visit as a family or with friends to learn more about the history of everyday life decades ago.

Our next destination, and our fourth landmark is Lake Louise located in Alberta. Lake Louise is a mountain resort and is most famous for mountaineering and hiking. It is one of the most beautiful sites in the world. Lake Louise is the third name for the lake. Lake Louise changes depending on the seasons. For example, in the winter it turns into a magnificent ice paradise. In the winter Lake Louise even offers winter sports (Bou). There is an average of 15 000 people that come to Lake Louise. (“Facts You May Not Know About Lake Louise”). Lake Louise is very close to Banff. The water in Lake Louise is crystal clear and so beautiful. Not only that, there are Grand Glaciers, breathtaking fall scenery, sightseeing gondolas and so much more (“Explore Summer | The Lake Louise Ski Resort & Summer Gondola”). I think that this landmark is an outstanding place to bring your family and friends.
