Portugal is a poor country (yes! we guarantee!) but, i don´t know why everybody have one or two cell phones and one or two tablets... ! All kids have one tablet! Even the children of the poorest families! In fact, i know! The tablets are the salvation for the families! They not talk with the kids ! They give them a tablet and a couch! For the kids, the tablets are only for gaming and social networks! This is the time to change it! First of all, the school need to improve your resources. I said! Portugal is a poor country! 90% dont have internet wireless in your classes. Own tablets? No way!! This is the time to change it, again! After, we, professors, need know the real potential of the tablets ! I confess... even i think it the tablets are only for recreation... This is the time to change it! Now, with this course!

The EB de Loures is one of the largest schools of the Agrupamento de Escolas Nº1 de Loures. Situated in the west part of the city of Loures (10 km from Lisbon), this institution is public domain, around being the main basic schools in the region and also one of the latest. It was inaugurated on January 25, 2003. The kindergarten has 2 rooms and 1 room activities of leisure and recreational activities. The first cycle has 8 classrooms, 2 rooms for ATL (leisure activities). Common areas have a kitchen and dining room, 6 offices (auiliares employees, association of parents, medical office, direction, teachers and secretariat), library, room of alternative activities, meeting room and gym. These spaces are spread over two floors, with the main entrance at the upper floor and access the place of recreation for the lower floor. Outside there is a covered patio and a paved courtyard with slides. It also has two playing fields and green areas. There are thirteen classroom teachers, two kindergarten teachers in regular schools, two teachers of students with special educational needs, a coordinating teacher and a librarian teacher, with functions in other schools. This is a School with 20 teachers with more or less 300 students coming from a mixed (rural and urban) lower middle class environment. There are 11 classes in elementary school with students, whose age is between 6 and 10 years old and 2 classes in preschool with students, whose age is between 3 and 5 years old. All students do group tasks and the students with special educational needs are integrated in classes. In this school we have a special class with Down Syndrome and Autistic children. We have specialized teachers working the TEACH program. All this students have classes with regular teachers too. Around 10 assistants work in this school in partnership with the teacher, cooperating in the student's support. We've got students from different countries and ethnics from Europe and Africa and a big Roma community. In several classes there are students with special needs (handicapped from all sorts). We work with several local and cultural partners. Our school aims to look at the future and wishes its students to engage in scientific and cultural projects in order to improve their learning as well as their interests in these matters and also to prepare them to the future. This is the main reason why we've decided to enter this project. Teachers are also motivated because they see this as a great advantage to the students. his school has also a leisure activities program. Students can stay in school from 8am until 6pm. The Educative Community is quite active, cooperating with the school when is needed to.

First of all teachers should have the knowledge about the subject. Teachers should be prepared to face the challenge. That's why courses like this are important.

I'm not using Edmodo. As I'm teaching 1th graders I think it is more applicable for older students.

I started in my class a multimedia project. We have created a youtube channel where will be published various videos made in the classroom. In these videos the students are responsible for the content.
