In this story, Diamond's friends are very concerned about Diamond's safety; they hold candlelight vigils, put posters all around the city, and do other things to ensure that she is found. This makes me think of a news article I recently read about Jon Schmidt, a member of The Piano Guys on YouTube. His daughter Annie was missing for several weeks, and people on social media were very concerned about her safety.
