The main feature of a music video is to promote the music. The mise-en-scene is highly important within the workings of a music video as it can sometimes portray the meaning of the song; so a happy story or use of imagery may be used for a song about joy or excitement.

Music videos are a form of entertainment, therefore, having dancing, acting or even a story line will attract the audience into listening and watching it as it engages them more.

An example of this is Trap Nation, in the music videos they don't have a dancer or singer, they prefer to have a background with a Trap Nation logo, and they tend to remix songs with a beat drop that'll make the people listening to it vibe of it better.

The video I am going to talk about is 50cent 'In Da Club'. This video itself makes us as the audience engage pretty well as the video starts of with some type of surgery ongoing, this is also known as mis en scene, however, without the beat to the actual music not being presented, it would be normal for you to think what is actually going on, but eventually the beat drops and the artist himself is hanging off the ceiling. The rest of the music video is very engaging itself.
