Landings at Inchon, September 1950 - Because of the large amount of ground NK had claimed in SK territory, a UN commander committed a daring mission; SK forces were deployed to a port on the SK coast held by NK to retaliate against their advances. 

China’s intervention, November 1950 - Once the UN forces managed to infiltrate well into Northern soil, China began to deploy their troops and push back the south. 

The Battle of the Imjin River, April 22nd, 1951 - China joined in the war, and raised the death toll, in addition to many PoWs. This forced the UN forces to retreat back to the south, but they managed to reassemble and prevent China from advancing to Seoul.
