It is also depends on a person on how they perceive the information based on the way they were raised and where they coming from. These information that the media shows us can influence on how we think and act. Not all information that were being shared are accurate but most people still believes in it. It is much better to consume the information that will educate us and the inaccurate information would still be consumed but rather than letting us be influenced, we use it to open our minds more.

Along with this, it is certain that it will also have pros and cons since it can either enlighten us on the current events, facts, and knowledge that we for sure need to know or it can spread wrong information, and information might be misinterpreted. Due to this, we should always be cautious about the information we see, hear, or read on different media, we all need to think critically and keep an open and well-informed mind.

Still fact checking the info you got should be done to see is it is from a reliable source. Also that media is a double edged sword. It is also a space where people can freely speak out their thoughts and opinions on certain topics. That it could also influence how others see the topics that are being discussed.

Sadly due to the continuous growth of the media, though it has made information sharing easier, information inaccuracy has also increased over the years.
But everyone makes their own decision whether they want to believe it or not and how they will interpret it. There are many factors that influence the interpretation of information, such as how one was raised, what generation were you born at or what environment one is, and these various factors are discussed in MIL to enlighten the younger generation and to teach them about the current state of media.

Media and information literacy is pretty integral into moving around in the modern environment. This concept involves taking in and spreading information. All sorts of information which we absorb and distribute on media can have positive and negative impacts on us as individuals, or whole communities, or otherwise the course of human history itself. I think right off the bat, our literacy when it comes to media and information affects our growth, development, and taste in entertainment. The information we absorb can affect things from our taste in music to the political leaders we follow. I think this subject is super important when it comes to understanding the processes behind all this.

Media is a powerful medium capable of changing people. Its power to influence should be handled properly and responsibly. The discussion made me realize that as technology itself is continuously evolving, people are exposed more to the information given by the media and are left with their thoughts and opinion to manage. For me, I think that is quite chaotic. Since most of what we get in the media are written from a limited perspective which pushes people to think the same. To add, some people just don't have what it takes to know the truth. As much as I respect and acknowledge media itself, I realized that its cons it as heavy as its pros. Which is why media literacy is a must, I think, esp for Filipinos. But like what I said, media still has its advantage. It has made communication and information distribution more easy. And if utilized ethically, media would be an open book for everyone.

This is because media can be used positvely or negatively because with the present technology, this can easily spread like wildfire. Having the power to control media can have the opportunity to educate and inform people of issues and propagandas or harm others. To sum it up, media and information literacy is significant in order for people to be open-minded and aware of whatever opinions, ideas, or perspectives exhibited by the media.
