         <title>All about white blood cells!</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Introduction: White Blood Cells are a part of our immune system; they help us to fight against foreign substances which enter our bodies such as infections and diseases. Most of these white blood cells are formed in the bone marrow.</p><p>a) Leukocytes</p><p>b) They are classified based on their functions and structures<br></p><p>c)There are six types of White blood cells;</p><p>Neutrophils, Eosinophils, Basophils, Bands, Monocytes and Lymphocytes.</p><p>Neutrophils kill bacteria by ingesting them. (Bands are immature Neutrophils)</p><p>Eosinophils kills parasites and have a role in allergic reactions</p><p>Basophils releases histamine which causes blood vessels to leaks and attracts white blood cells.</p><p>Monocytes phagocytize bacteria throughout the body and also old, damages and dead cells in the body.</p><p>Done by: Christopher, Daniel, Netraa and Priya.k</p>]]></description>
