The school librarian is very involved and knows may of the students requiring more support very well. There are many opportunities for him to interact with the librarian and the resources in the library commons. Sachin's teacher and I have discussed different ways in which we can infuse technology into his day to day programming. He is interested in tech and we need to harness that interest and engage him using different apps, websites, and resources to maximize his attention and desire to learn. We are looking at using Raz-kids, and using more kinesthetic activities during removal like 'Catch the Fruit -Toss a piece of plastic fruit to a student and ask, "What is it?" Elicit and prompt the correct vocabulary. Mr. W and I discussed having Sachin and several other of his class members participate and made a plan to meet with them individually to assess their interest and what they connected with the most about their culture so we could make a plan for them to be involved. We are hoping their interests will be encouraging and that they will be excited to participate.
