I liked the approach that NGSS has to offer catering to the 3 practices. 
2. I am forseeing lot of thinking process involved which will make the kids to be curious and discover learning in a new way. The way students are going to be involved in  hypothesis, testing their theory  , discovering and using higher order thinking will make science learning fun and engaging.

  • 'The seven cross cutting concepts' was something new for me. These crosscutting concepts can help students have a scientific way of thinking about the concept under study.
  • NGSS introduces engineering from kindergarten through grade 12 which is something new and will be beneficial to students.
  • I think by Feb 2018 we should be ready to implement one unit of NGSS.

I liked the SEPs. Incorporating all these would be of great interest and beneficial to the students when compared to the present practices.
