Franz Ferdinand was assassinated on June 28, 1914. He was assassinated by Gavrilo Princip. Franz Ferdinand was with his wife at the time of the Assassination. They tried to shoot Franz but missed. Franz and his wife were in a car and the car stopped and Princip killed Franz and his wife

This event changed peoples future. The Assassination started WW1.

Battle of Somme - July 1, 1916

The british and the Germans were fighting in the trenches. There were a lot of deaths on each side. Nobody won the battle of the Somme

The families were affected because they lost there loved ones. The soldiers were also effected because they got trench foot,lice, and mustard gas.

The 100 Day Offence killed a lot of solders. It affected the people because a lot of people died even civilians.

They punished the Germans by giving them a fine of 33 billion dollars. A group of people from different countries came together to figure out a punishment for germany. Some countries like the United States of America did not agree on the punishment.

It affects germany for having to pay that much. It affected the united States of America because they did not agree with the treaty of Versailles and was a cause of WW2.
