Parent power is giving (or in some cases) demanding a seat at the table. Many parents don’t understand the processes that need to occur. Parents need to be better educated and empowered to be involved.

It is important because if we don't voice for the children and their needs we won't see results. We have to keep building with other parents because just one voice can have a small impact as for if we have 100 voices loud we can be heard by those who can help make that change. We make the village not only for our own child/ren but for all child/ren who may experience the same thing in the future l.

Law makers often don’t understand or are unaware of the problems with the Early Intervention system. Building parent power throughout the state will amplify our voices and raise awareness in order to enact necessary changes to ensure children are receiving the services the need and deserve!

I want other kids with autism as well as my son to receive the best education possible because they deserve the very same possibilities as other kids …these kids have so much potential and they don’t deserve to be mishandled !!!
