-its menswear and womenswear but clear its more targeted towards menswear

  • Loads instantly

    • Clear what the website is for as it has links to all the clothing they sell as soon as you go onto the website. 

    • There isn’t much white space but I think it is still very clear and fits with the aesthetic of the brand. There are some parts of the website that are very overwhelming, but I do think it still fits and works well. 

    • The branding and colours used is very consistent throughout the website. Everything is very cohesive.

    • Yes you can easily go back to a previous page, or click the logo at the top of the website to return to the home page.

    • It works just as well on a phone as a laptop or ipad. They have thought about the layout and it fits really well on a phone. 

    • The main theme within the better lives unit that Lucy and Yak look at is sustainability. A big part of their brand is about having sustainable clothing. They have a link to how they are sustainable and for each item of clothing they have what fabrics they are made out of, each of which as consciously made. 

    • Although I think the website is trying to promote sustainable clothing and talk about this topic. I think they main purpose of the website is to sell their clothing. They have offers and deals popping up around their website to promote their clothing even further.

  • Responsive on phone

    • lots of visuals but almost too many, which makes it hard for you to focus on one thing. lacking a logo and branding. they do have an interesting blog page, which explains their creative process. this works well and makes the consumer feel like they are involved in the design process. they are also good story telling which can help the website seem more personal.

    - there is a lot of information but its put together in an accessible way 

    - very easy to navigate and the purpose of the website is very clear 

    - i think the editorials and the way everything is photographed is the highlight 

    - don't really like how much white space there is when you hover over the mens women's ss23 buttons at the top 

    -it seemed quite slow to load when you went past the first page

    2. The purpose of the site is very clear and is immediately figured out the moment it finished loading. The first thing the eye notices is the page header.
    3. Enough "white space"
    4. The brand name is not in a position where it can be seen at a glance. The font is clearly used and the colours are harmonious.
    5. Navigation is clear. All categories are divided in detail.
