         <description><![CDATA[<div>I agree with Sara that the speaker started to admire and respect the fish. She released it back into the world because she saw the power it had held.<br>The shift is when the speaker begins to few the fish in great detail. They almost offended the fish at first but then it shifts to something more joyful and amazed in the fish's beauty.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Connotation is how you view something.<br>The speaker was in awe of the fish.  The author was trying to convey respect for nature.<br>I think a big shift happened at the line "and then I saw it. I stared and stared." because she stopped looking at it just as an ugly old fish and started viewing it with respect.<br>I agree with Phiper, but also think the theme is to respect nature.</div>]]></description>
