What traits do I personally have which will make me stand out in the industry?

Creative: I have channelled my creativity in numerous internships, particularly in my recent job at FashionVerse, where I have been given the creative licence to decide on backgrounds in the game, and outfits in the game. I use inspiration from Pinterest, the news and social media for my ideas. I also used my creativity in my presentations to ASOS and The White Company through uni

Proactive: I am a highly proactive individual and am proud of my networking skills. Two of the fashion internships I have completed were found through networking with industry connections on Linkedin and introducing myself. I put alot of effort into networking with the right people on Li.

Organised: I have built on my organisational skills in recent months, when I have juggled two jobs and a degree, as well as my social life, exercise and my relationship with my boyfriend and family.

Driven: I am always looking for ways to better myself both personally and professionally, I do this through reading books, self care, and attending fashion talks/events.

What traits could I work on?

Self criticism. Throughout all my jobs I have received the same feedback which is that I undervalue myself once I am established in a position. I have no issue with confidence during interview processes, but when I am given a task I always convince myself it is not good enough even if it is great.

How will I work on this?

Acknowledging that this is a weakness of mine is the first step to action. I need to communicate with hiring managers what helps my confidence, which is positive reinforcement. I also need to stop the negative self-talk and look at my work and achievements from an outsider's perspective.

Career Pulse- Temperament Test- Results INFJ

INFJs are artistic, creative and highly intuitive. They are naturally very caring and protective of others. They often excel in both the arts and the sciences and enjoy being given the freedom and independence to be innovative and creative and prefer to avoid detail. They trust their own instincts and tend to be right to do so, but it can lead them to ignore other people’s opinions. They usually prefer to be leaders rather than followers unless they believe strongly in those they follow. They often have high expectations of themselves and those close to them. INFJs dislike conflict and are often quiet and secretive, making them difficult to get to know. They are unhappy when forced to concentrate on impersonal details or carry out practical tasks. Under stress they will take criticism personally and obsess over unimportant details, often suffering a loss of self-esteem.

I really relate to this test result, as my biggest weakness is my low self esteem. This is something I am always trying to work on through conversations and positive self talk. I also acknowledge my creative strengths which was highlighted in this quiz result.

As I could have guessed, my weaker points are my sensitivity from this test.

This is a trait which makes me empathetic so I am grateful for it, but it also means I am very expressive which sometimes leads to issues. I can work on this through practising controlling my emotions better and not letting them impact my decisions or impulsivity.
