OUR PROBLEM STATEMENT

In many outdoor areas of the school, students, teachers, and parents are exposed to a sun that beats down relentlessly. This results in the outdoor spaces becoming uncomfortable and even unbearable. The lack of shaded areas in school premises contributes to this, leading to discomfort, overheating, and reduced use of outdoor spaces. There is a clear need for an innovative and sustainable shading system to provide comfort, safety, and improve usability.

What is challenging?

We are unsure of how to show the wire and the misting spray.

What are your next steps?

We need to add the wiring and the misting sprays. Maybe add more leaves too.

Plant more trees for shade as trees give shade and cool the air around them. Adding trees and plants in your design helps reduce heat.

Add water features like fountains or misting as water cools the air when it evaporates. Including water spots in your design can make outdoor areas feel cooler.
