All students will take risks in an environment where they feel comfortable and valued, meaning there is a well developed relationship between students and teachers. 2. All students are actively engaged in lessons, which means there is much collaboration. By writing the standards (I can statements, goals, targets, etc.) on the board, in a student friendly manner, then we are showing our students what standards they are learning. 3. If someone is walking through, then they are able to view a variety of highly effective instructional methods and clearly see the class goals, objectives, or targets for the lesson. 4.
