<title>According to a study done by researchers at Stanford University, 56% of the students said the leading main cause of stress is homework averaging about 3.1 hours every night of homework. 33% of students said that they put pressure on having good grades and less than 1 percent said that homework is not a factor in their stress. </title>

<title>Homework also cuts into time with family and other outside-of-school-related activities and consumes (on average) about 3 hours (for college students) each night of every student. Homework is also another leading cause of sleep deprivation, headaches, and mental and physical exhaustion. </title>

<title>The researchers who conducted their research on 4,317 students at 10 different high schools also states that too much homework can have the opposite effect on students causing them to be counter-productive. The time the homework still eats into every night (on average) is about 2 hours for a high school student. </title>

<title>One solution is to limit teachers from giving too much homework to kids which will definitely lower the stress and increase the productivity rate of the students. They may also tend to enjoy school more knowing they don&#39;t have to do endless pages of homework at night.Their sleep schedule and work ethic could also improve and better their relationships and social life. </title>

<title>Using the research I already conducted I can assume that lowering the amount of homework can improve a student as a whole. Another solution could be to make homework optional and used as an extra credit source for the student. This will probably increase the students work ethic and willingness to do the homework assigned and do it stress free knowing it would be only extra credit. </title>

<title>One last solution I think can be used in getting rid of homework as A whole. Homework already causes a lot of stress on students in any grade level. Completely getting rid of homework is a good solution because students&#39; performance in class will also become better because they will be able to get more sleep at night and have a healthier lifestyle besides being enslaved to schoolwork 24/7.</title>
