She met my grandfather Bryant Bjorklund who was a soldier in England at the time. She immigrated to America with my Uncle Pat, tallest in this picture in 1946. They traveled to American on a Navy ship! :)

Nanny was always concerned about you eating well. She was a great cook and always made sure you were fed. She was known for making pumpkin breads for everyone during the holidays with either chocolate chips or raisins. I have a copy of her recipe in her writing. :)

Nanny was really good at swing dancing and loved to go to the clubs in England to dance. Her and I would sing and dance all the time! So much fun! We would crack each other up. Now I do that with my girls. She was a strong women - we all got that from her. My girls were fortunate to have known their Nanny - their great-grandma. She loved them so much.

This was taken not too long before she passed away. I think it was around 2013. I remember seeing her three months before she died. Her eyes were so clear and crystal blue - I remember finding that remarkable, because she was so ill. She was dying. I love her so much. I miss her every day. There's so much I want to tell her, so much has happened in my life.
