Participation in this international program was one of
the most valuable experiences in my life. It gave me the
opportunity to present my country, Georgia, and also
opened the door to learning about other nations and
their cultures. During the project, I presented Georgia
through its rich culture, traditions, and national symbols.
I created a logo that symbolized the uniqueness, history,
and identity of our country.

In addition to my own work, I followed the presentations
of other countries and became familiar with their
cultures, customs, and historical features. This
experience broadened my worldview and gave me new
perspectives on the similarities and differences among
nations.

Such programs encourage creative thinking,
communication skills, and most importantly—mutual
respect and understanding between different peoples. I
truly enjoyed this project and hope that such
international programs will continue.

Machatia Public School

My Reflection on the eTwinning Project “Details are Perfect Cuts and Silhouettes of the Past”

This eTwinning project was a true cultural journey through time. It opened a meaningful path for me and my students to explore both our own traditions and the rich cultural heritage of other nations. Through every detail — from cuts and silhouettes to traditional patterns and garments — we discovered how the past lives within us and around us.

The project allowed us to work closely with teachers and students from different countries, learning from their stories and sharing our own. It was inspiring to see how even a simple embroidery, a traditional costume, or a forgotten design could tell powerful stories about identity, history, and belonging.

For my students, this project was not only about learning but also about feeling proud of who they are and where they come from. It helped them realize that the smallest details — in design, clothing, or language — carry deep meanings that connect generations.

Once again, this experience proved that the past is not locked in museums or books. It lives in us — in the way we dress, speak, and express ourselves. And noticing these details helps us understand who we truly are.

"Details Are Perfect Cuts and Silhouettes of the Past" provided a different, yet equally powerful journey — one into history, memory, and identity. The project encouraged a close look at the past, focusing on the small details that often carry the deepest meaning. It taught students to appreciate their cultural heritage, to observe history not just as a sequence of events, but as a mosaic of stories, voices, and visual fragments that shape who we are today.

I was impressed by how the project encouraged students to pay attention to the small, often overlooked elements of the past — the "details" that give shape and meaning to our collective identity. By examining photographs, family stories, traditional objects, and historical events, learners developed a deeper appreciation for heritage and the importance of preserving it. The project beautifully combined artistic expression with historical thinking, helping students engage not only with facts, but also with emotions and perspectives. It fostered curiosity, critical observation, and respect for diversity, reminding us that every piece of the past — no matter how small — contributes to the full picture of who we are today.

At first, I was nervous about speaking English, but my group was kind and helpful. We shared our cultures and created a video together.

Participating in this eTwinning project has been a truly enriching experience as a teacher. It gave me the opportunity to guide my students through meaningful intercultural exchanges, helping them develop not only their language and digital skills, but also their curiosity, empathy, and teamwork. Watching them collaborate with peers from other countries, create original content, and proudly present their work has been inspiring. This project reminded us all how powerful learning becomes when it goes beyond the classroom and connects us across borders.
