<title>What is Memory? &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;A physical device capable of storing information temporarily or permanently, Memory is used when a program like Internet is open, it is loaded from your hard drive and placed into the RAM, which allows that program to communicate with the processor at higher speeds. Anything you save to your computer, such as a picture or video, is sent to your hard drive for storage. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Examples:RAM &amp;amp; ROM, RAM is for Random Access Memory that is a volatile memory that stores information on an circuit used by the operating system, software, and hardware and is a memory that loses its contents when the computer or hardware device loses power.ROM is for Read-only Memory, that is non-volatile memory and is used in computers to save the things you are doing while you are using another system, it is not lost when the computer is turned off.</title>
