This activity is designed for a 1st year teenagers at Colegio Secundario "Gregoria Matorras de San Martín" in Mocoretá.

The group consist of approximately 27 students, ranging in age from 14 to 18.

Students are diverse in terms of background and they have a low level of English.

The class meets twice a week.

They have access to internet at school.

AIM:

*to practice vocabulary and grammatical structures of the verb to be related to personal information.

*to review pronunciation and listening.

*to strengthen knowledge on this topic.

TOOLS:

*The video: 001 "This is me" from Corrientes Play.

*Cell phones.

*Computers.

*Padlet.

ACTIVITIES:

*Watch the video about personal information to practice pronunciation and listening.

*Invite students to answer the following questions: -What about you? -Where are you from? -What is your favourite animal?

-What is your favourite object?

*Then use Padlet to create a collaborative wall and compare personal information with your classmates.

*Students post answers using the verb to be.

*Students work in four groups.

*They have to choose a favourite person in the sport and look for information on the internet, social media, etc. For example:

-Who is he/she? -What is his/her name?

-Where is he/she from? -What are your favourite things? - How does he/she look like?

I chose this video "This is me" because it is a simple and practical resource for reviewing personal information.

I anticipate that one of the challenges is the use of digital tools like TikTok or Padlet. Some students are good at using them and others need to watch tutorials because they are not familiar with them.

Challenge- Based Learning encourages students to develop critical thinking and collaborative learning. This allows the classes to be more interesting and have a real purpose.
