I believe that teachers can help many ELL students if we can learn different methods to identify gifted students from ELL populations.

I was a former ESL students, so I know from personal experience how nerve racking it can be to talk in class, especially if you do not have a good grasp of the language. I encountered ELL students during my time as a former substitute teacher for NEISD. It was a rewarding experience because I became living proof that challenges can be overcome for those students. I know that we can do better to help students in general, so I hope to get any extra suggestions for increasing student confidence in the classroom, especially for ELL students.
