You have done an excellent job of explaining not only your experience but also your father's experience with your grandmothers illness.  I am so happy that you were able to go quickly to your grandmother and get her to the hospital so she could be treated and make a full recovery.  I also hope your grandmother's health stays strong for many years. Thank you for sharing your beautiful story with me. I was captivated by your colorful artwork, and once I began reading, the description of your birthday was just as colorful. You drew me in by explaining what you were feeling and what made you feel that way. The piñata and the loud pop, listening to K-pop, it was all wrapped up in excellent detail that really make a story stand out. Your excitement when unwrapping your presents and the “colorful rain” of the candy falling for all your friends is such a great memory, I still remember my own piñatas from my childhood birthdays.

One of the wonderful things about writing and sharing stories is that you never know what incredible memories the reader may remember of their own experiences because of a well-written story. 

I’m sure you’ll keep developing your writing skills. You are already talented and I hope you enjoy the process of story telling, it can be a lot of fun. I hope you have a great time in class!

First of all, I am sorry it has take some time for me to write to you. As a matter of fact, our stories somehow match. When you sent me your personal narrative, I was not coming to school because I had tested positive for covid. It was interesting because on my first day back to school, I read your personal story and could feel you when you said “there can always be a bright side in those moments”.

I was glad when I read that you somehow enjoyed being taken care of and appreciated the hospital facilities. It’s great that you had access to such a nice place and that so many people were there for you when you needed. I felt similar these days I was at home. I was glad I had a home, with a comfortable bed, I had access to all medicines and equipments I needed. I am also grateful for my family and friends who have sent me messages, food, and many other treats and love manifestations. I am glad to be healthy now, alive and back to work.

It was really nice to have your text and your letter waiting for me at my office when I arrived here. I hope we can meet each other soon to talk about the bright side of life!
