My expectation for this subject is i want to familiarize myself with this social science , i dont know if i can score well , but im gonna try my best . I am not good with English so yah sometime it is hard for me to understanding the concept of something whatever it is in this subject or others.

Actually ,my first until the fourth choice were not UNIMAS and the course that i pick are the one that i have basic on it in STPM (economy and Bahasa Melayu) and it was easy to score because i can understand the language well (BAHASA). My name is Nur Ain Binti Japar just call me Ain, matrix no. 80496. Im a kedayan girl. I was born into a mixed family which is My Dad is a Kedayan mix Melanau and My mother is a Dayak Kalimantan, Indonesia. I’m from Bintulu, Sarawak but lived in Kuching almost 10 years. After I finished my STPM I continued my studies in Bachelor of Law from University of Landon External programme at Advanced Tertiary College, Kuala Lumpur but for 3 months only. I could not finished my degree for personal reasons. After I quit the college, I applied to continue my law degree at a public university. Degree in law was my first choice but when the UPU result came out I did not get a place in the course I wanted but I got an offer in Bachelor of International Studies (UNIMAS). Eventho I didn’t get a course that I wanted but I was greatful for what I got. I just thought this was a challenge for me to get what I dreamed of eventho I had to start from the bottom. I tried to get out of my comfort zone to learn something new.

My hobby is reading and Im very interested in the book written by Teme Abdullah. At the same time Im also actively involved in volunteering activities and Im a member of the Youth Care Malaysia committee for the state of Sarawak.

IR is not my 1st choice and I don't even remember why did I put it among my 12 choice. but honestly, IR sounds interesting once I was introduced to a few of the courses that I'll be taking for this semester. I still haven't yet to expect anything from this course but the only thing I am very sure is, I'm hoping, I'll get to be more aware of the society in me, inside this country and also globally.

My name is Cheryelyna Jones Anak Johny from Kuching, Sarawak. Just call me Cheryel because I know my name is quite long and difficult. ^^ My matric number is 79055. I am so honored and grateful to be able to join UNIMAS as one of its students.

I must admit that UNIMAS was not my first choice. It was my second option after UKM. However, being able to accept UNIMAS's offer is such a big opportunity for me to learn and gain more knowledge. In this SSF1083 course, I expect to get more exposure regarding gender, ethnicity and class in the society that we are living in. I believe equality is for everyone and through this course, I will learn something bigger than I can expect. This will be my favorite course!

Apart from that, I don't have any particular hobby but I will rather spend my day by reading a lot of books ( physical and online books ) rather than doing nothing. I also listen to music a lot. I am a cheerful person because music helps me to live my day. Nothing special about me. I'm a new student in UNIMAS so I hope I can work well with everyone including my lecturers so we can have a very good time together.

For hobby, I don't really have one. It all depends on my choice. I'm humbly say that I'm not really good at sports or even online games.

Honestly, I don't really sure that this will be the course that I would have to study. In the list that I put was mostly random but specific to Social Science. I don't really care which one because either one is good so no complain about it and I don't really know what I'm gonna be in life as long as it good and convenience. I was taught that in life you can't always get what you want and also I have quite a lot of working experience so I'm pretty sure to be able to adapt to any situation. In conclusion, I guess my luck pointed me towards International Studies and I will have to do my best to get a excellent result. Can't really afford to wasting money after I've work so much to collect money for studies.

Whenever I have leisure time,I enjoy discovering new skills and knowledge.I personally enjoy challenging myself.Such skills are crocheting and learned how to make my own clothes.I enjoy reading.My favourite author is Haruki Murakami and Roald Dahl.I also watch anime and read mangas whenever I have an ample of time(I can never tolerate with spoilers).I love going to the beach! It helps soothing my mind and as therapeutic session for releasing stress and tensions. I play Genshin Impact as well.

IR was my first choice but not at UNIMAS, it was UM. UNIMAS IR was my seventh but as soon as I got the result, I was 100% delighted. After years of struggle, finally I can make my whole life addiction (world news, history, culture & politics) as my studies & I can't wait to prove that this is the best choice I've ever made.
As a kid, I was a total bookworm, especially comics, magazines, newspapers and history books. Now, I went into some YT channels like TRT World, CNBC, Johnny Harris, UsefulCharts, PolyMatter, NowThis, ML Studios and others, or reading some Wiki about world history, events and ethnic culture. Prior to this writing, I was in Wikipedia, reading about the Great Qing, Great Ming and its imperial family (the House of Zhu).
I'm also a huge fan of music. YOASOBI, LeeHi, Ailee, Kid Francescoli, Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigo, Maudy Ayunda, Hindia, you can name it. As a result, I have more than 200 music files in my phone (not to mention 200 more in Spotify and JOOX respectively). K-drama is also my enormous craze. It's Okay to Not Be Okay, 18 Again, Partners of Justice and so on.
Last SSF1083 class really knocked my mind when Dr Lucy explained the difference between sex and gender. So yeah, new knowledge and I hope the more I learned, the more I become interested with this class. I hope I can get to stay at UNIMAS campus real quick so I can blast my fav songs without interruption and can be more productive towards my studies as ODL classes really suffocate me, a lot, especially when it comes to me having severe symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) & autism spectrum disorder (ASD) since secondary years.
I hope that I will not destroy any relations with my classmates and lecturers because honestly, I am quirky and problematic but always tried to be considerate and not self-centered. I am either talkative or quiet at anytime & anywhere.
Last but not least, I hope that I can always make you all happy and comfortable with me.

To learn IR in Unimas is not my first choice but fifth. It absolutely not because I don't like IR. Far from it. IR actually was my dream course for me to enroll when I got into university since I was 13 because I have deep interest in it since then. I enjoy learning history, geography, demography and politics of the world and since reading is one of my hobby I love to read everything about the subject I like.
