And as Jason Patera stated, "An arts education cultivates a student's capacity for purpose and passion in the service of something that matters."<br><br>So, while I know that most of my students will not pursue a career in the arts, providing them the foundation they need to develop a capacity for "imagination, community, and joy" is something that I want to foster in my classroom.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This session gave me strategies for receiving feedback:<br>1- practice active listening, 2- never argue, 3- depersonalize quickly, 4- evaluate it slowly, 5- be mindful (explore where you can stop/start critiqued behaviors)<br><br>Also understanding that feedback is simply DATA to help IMPROVE.
