Between 2019-2020, Australia invested $70.6 Million in aid.
This aid was aimed towards healthcare, investing in infrastructure, access to medical professionals and vaccines.
Additionally, it goes towards creating healthy living standards for people through access to fresh water and sanitation.
This investment is also addressing poverty through refining and developing policies that ensure that people don't fall deeper into poverty. This is through educational programs and providing opportunities and infrastructure for minorities. Granted, this is overshadowed by investments in healthcare and economic recovery for the time being.
To help with this recovery, industries like agriculture, construction and financial institutions are in focus. This is incredibly relevant in the rural areas of Cambodia.
