Are the ways to build in reinforcement for remote learning ?
Response:

Having conversations and weekly phone meetings around supporting parents and caregivers to help prepare them for remote learning. For example, we worked on creating schedules for all family members and coaching around implementation – specifically, setting in time for breaks and creating reinforcer to keep them engaged (tv, video game times)

End-of-the-week reward/incentive drop off - Just like we did in the classroom, just remotely (if families are okay with it.

Using center program budget for purchasing reinforcers – mailing home pokemon cards (or other things they are interesting in) based on point sheets

Sending home virtual gift cards to grub hub, Xbox

Competing with other teachers/students in kahoot lessons - class earns prize

Giving kids our google voice numbers to text or call when needed. Texting students in the morning to help remind them to log on

Dropping off a soda and package of cookies

Office hours at the end of every day to address concerns and earning points for participating in a positive way

Allowing students to earn points just by showing up and turning on computer (rigor)

Individualize incentives - meet students on their level

Make expectations and incentives transparent

Get families involved to help student get motivated
