Our explanation of the Theory:

Radical Behaviorism is the theory that behavioral factors affect the learning process more than the metal state. The behavior of the student is caused by the environment around them, their genetic makeup, and the social experiences that the student encountered.

In your own words, how does this learning theory apply to mathematics education (i.e., mathematics teaching and learning)?

For some students, math comes very easy to them and they do not need a lot of help with figuring out how to get solutions to the problems that are given to them.
Skinner can relate to this because those students who excel easily constantly have the positive reinforcement of a good grade and therefore they continue working hard to keep getting the good grades.
On the other side of the spectrum, it is the same because the students that do not get the content as easily get the negative reinforcement and bad grades and therefore think "why should I try" and continue getting the same bad grades.
We instead need to give positive reinforcement to all our students so they continue to work hard and strive to get better after every assignment.

Give a detailed description (in writing or as a podcast) of a classroom scenario that illuminates one (or more) key tenets of the learning theory. Remember, you must provide enough details so a reader/listener can make the connection. You are encouraged to connect explicitly the scenario to the learning theory at the end of your description.

A classroom scenario that would explain Skinner's theory is how a teacher handles and promotes students. If praises are given to students for doing activities well or correctly or if they behave well. Then the student will start to do these activities faster to gain the praise that is associated with the event.
There are other factors too like the environment that the lesson occurs in will affect the students learning because the student needs to be in a safe environment for them to open up to the teacher to accept information. Also if a student has dyslexia, they will struggle with learning in general because of having a language-based learning disability. Therefore teachers need to be aware of the effects of these disabilities for the student to be able to learn. Lastly, if a student struggles with socializing with others the students might not feel that they are able to ask questions during class or might not feel conformable going to the teacher one on one for help.

Radical Behaviorism is the school of thought pioneered by B. F. Skinner that argues that behavior, rather than mental states, should be the focus of study in psychology. Skinner's science of behavior emphasizes the importance of reinforcement and the relationships between observable stimuli and responses.
