         <title>I love showing different ways for kids to do the same thing and use Khan Academy, or other visual/audio resources. Also sometimes hearing someone else talk about a concept works well, AND  having another student teach their classmates about how or what they understand is priceless, plus they always look forward to &quot;playing&quot; the teacher. :-)</title>

         <title>Daily Writing and Writer&#39;s Workshop</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This year I made daily writing part of every class.  They earned credit for completing their "handwriting" or "writing skills" course lessons simply by participating, and when those course contained daily lessons that moved more specifically into GUM learning, it was enforced in the class writing activity.  Additionally, this year I moved the "Writers Workshop" down from 2nd grade to K/1.  This involved modifying the workshop.  We did stay with the same project theme (which will change next year.)  If you open up the writing sample attachment, you can see a two writing samples for a student which highlights the growth.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>This continues to be an issue, as I am one teacher who often circulates between 20 break-out-rooms to provide writing support, many times to students who are below expected level or even from upper grades down in my class.  While MOST are there to support only--and truly do act as a paraprofessional of sorts--I still have a couple LCs who I know are doing the work FOR their student (and I spend a lot of time correcting that action) and a couple who should be assisting or at least present, but for whom use daily CC  as their "off time."  <br><br></div>]]></description>

         <title>I use Kidwriting in the 21st Century to introduce writing to my Kinder kiddos. I teach them them that even if they cannot write letters or words, they can make symbols and are still WRITING! We start with simple lines, circles, squiggles, etc and gradually work our way up to forming letters and stretching our words out with the aid of an alphabet chart. Students phonetically spell their words and get down their thoughts and then LC&#39;s or teachers can re-write their sentence in adult writing at the bottom of the student&#39;s page.  </title>
